Silk screening t-shirts, or screen printing as today's process is called, is a method of printing high-quality images onto large numbers of t-shirts. It's a technique where ink is forced through a fine mesh stencil onto the fabric beneath it. There is generally a setup fee for each ink color printed on each side of the t-shirt.
First, film is made from your artwork to create the stencil. A screen, stretched onto a frame, is covered with a light sensitive emulsion. Next, the screen is exposed to light through the film and the exposed parts are then burned out of the screen. It gets pressure washed to remove the burned parts, and the result is the stencil that is used to print the t-shirt.
Goldengatepromo.com offers many colors, t-shirt brands, and styles to choose from for your silk screened t-shirts. You can choose from name brand shirts like Fruit of the Loom, Hanes, and Jerzees. Today's styles go beyond the classic t-shirt. For men, there are t-shirts and tank tops, sweatshirts, long-sleeved t-shirts, and hooded shirts. For women, there are classic t's, baby t-shirts, sleeveless muscle shirts, baseball jerseys, baby ribs with cap sleeves, and crop tops.
We take any artwork and we'll create a proof for you before we print your t-shirts. If any adjustments need to be made, we will correct them before printing. This way you can be sure that you get exactly what you want on your t-shirts. Most of our designs have a minimum of only 48 t-shirts, ideal for companies who want smaller runs. Of course, we can print as many as you need.
